I’ve decided to start a blog where I can share my love for the 1920s and early 1930s. I love the Victorian and Edwardian eras as well, but I’ve found that the Jazz Age is what I really want to talk about. We’ll be discussing all things related to this period — people, culture, entertainment, food and drink, crime, and even some personal family history related to this era. I think the “scope” is perfect — not too wide, not too narrow. Plenty of interesting topics.

Finally got this site how I wanted it — new to WordPress, and it’s taking a bit to get used to using it and editing — trying to get away from evil tech tyrant Google as much as possible, so it’s now live. It’s the same name as my old Blogger blog, but different URL due to the fact that I would have to upgrade ($96 a year) to be able to use the domain name that I’ve already purchased, which I’m not doing. Instead I’ve just mapped my purchased domain to WordPress so that at least it takes people here instead of to a defunct page and it’s still useful.

I really hope I get some interaction here in the form of likes and comments — I know that blogging is still a thing, but I’ve noticed that few people actually comment on many blog posts anymore, at least not the ones I’ve come across. So I hope you feel comfortable and encouraged to interact and leave respectful feedback here.
